I hadn’t planned on blogging this one but once I realized how tough it was going to be to blog everyday this month, I decided to go for it. The picture isn’t pretty but these little guys are absolutely delicious. I made them for the kid’s 1st birthday and ended up giving the recipe to just about everyone that came. Since then I’ve made them a couple times each football season.
Sweet Lil Smokies
1 Package of Lil’ Smokies
2 tubes of Croissant dough
1 cup butter
1 cup chopped walnuts
6 tablespoons Brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
Melt butter, and add nuts, sugar, and honey. Pour into a baking dish. Roll the Smokies in the dough (you will have to cut most croissants into 3 pieces, some into only 2) and place on top of butter mixture. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.

I am totally going to make this one. My kids would LOVE it and I will be Mom of the Year!!
I love quick and easy recipes like this.
Took these to a party Saturday night. Only difference is I did not put the honey in. They were delicious and everyone wanted the recipe. One comment I got was “this is the best little smokie recipe I have ever tasted.” The whole dish disappeared before anything else on the table did! I am now officially “hooked” on your blog. Whatever you are cooking, I am cooking!
my hubby thanks you for this recipe…he loves lil smokies!
